Positive Sobriety Method Responsible for Sobriety in Thousands of Professionals Nationwide
(firmenpresse) - CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 08/07/12 -- Addiction Psychiatrist and Medical Director of Resurrection Behavioral Health - Addiction Services, , released his book Positive Sobriety: A Comprehensive, Integrated, and Evidence-based Approach to Addiction Treatment. The 242-page book is evidence-based, meaning it is predicated on scientific findings in addition to 27 years of clinical observation. His Positive Sobriety method has led countless professionals to learning new ways of living in recovery.
The book is a treatment guide and workbook for patients and clinicians, and even consumers seeking self-help. The book discusses the details of addiction and the second half is a three-part series of work sheets to help guide patients through sobriety. It will also become a critical companion to the high accountability professionals Dr. Angres treats. For nearly three decades he has led the Professionals Program, and is best known for the treatment of addiction in high-accountability professionals in the healthcare, legal and business professions.
A syllabus of all aspects of the treatment his patients receive is also listed. He is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Rush University College of Medicine and Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with Added Qualifications in Addiction Psychiatry. He is also certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), and is past president of the Illinois Society of Addiction Medicine. His first novel, "Miswired," about addiction is being released in fall 2012.
