Sunil Shah has more than 20 years of experience applying technology to solve complex business problems and building highly scalable Web-based and mobile software products. Before joining Varolii, Shah served as the vice president of engineering at DataSphere Technologies and was a co-founder and chief technical officer of , a hotel review site, where he designed the company's first smartphone application. Prior to that, he served as vice president of engineering at . He also spent 11 years at , architecting and building the first version of the company's corporate travel product. He also led Expedia's service oriented architecture (SOA) initiative and managed core platform development, air and car engineering as well as e-commerce services during his time with the company. Shah replaces Steve Weick, who has retired after a robust career working with enterprise-class platforms at , Informix, and Varolii.

Prior to joining Varolii, Chaney was vice president of professional and managed services at QPass, a division of , where he was responsible for a global team of more than 100 employees tasked with software development services, technical support and managed services. He has also held senior positions at Portal Software, a mid-sized CRM vendor, and Cambridge Technology Partners as well as spent eight years in his early career at Boeing on application design and integration for flight systems.
