ISO 27001 Certification Expanded With SSAE16 TYPE II, Replacing SAS-70

SSAE is an attested standard issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is especially relevant to companies that have strict compliance requirements including healthcare, publicly traded organizations and financial firms. The certification guarantees that the cloud management services offered by UNIT4 are compliant with increasing demands on information security and data governance. SSAE certificates are issued annually.
SSAE16 consists of internal control mechanisms for service organizations, with a focus on risk identification and governance. An increasing number of organizations, especially in the US, are demanding SSAE16 certification of their IT outsourcing and hosting providers, before they trust their data to them.
