Dr. Deepak Chopra Announces Launch of Toronto's First Chopra Yoga Center
Developed in Partnership With the Chopra Center for Wellbeing, Chopra Yoga is a Premiere Yoga, Meditation, and Wellness Centre
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/24/12 -- today announced Toronto's first Chopra Yoga Center will open in the city's Harbourfront district this winter. Created in partnership with the world-renowned , Toronto's Chopra Yoga Center is the second in a series of premiere yoga, meditation, and wellness centres, rooted in the spiritual leader's foundational teachings, planned for North America.
"We're very excited about bringing to Toronto, which has a vibrant community of wellness educators and individuals seeking a deeper understanding of mind-body health," said Dr. Chopra. "In our state-of-the art studios, both advanced practitioners and those who are new to yoga, meditation, and other holistic practices have the opportunity to explore the deepest principles in conscious living."
The center will offer a variety of classes, including instruction in the , which integrates yoga movement, breathing techniques, and the principles presented in Dr. Chopra's best-selling book, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success. Other classes include hot hatha, power vinyasa, Pilates, and hip-hop yoga. Naturopathic medicine, registered massage therapy, Ayurveda and other wellness services will also be offered.
The custom-designed, 6,500 square-foot centre is designed to take visitors away from their busy city lives. The serene environment incorporates rich, earthy materials including an aged circular door to the hot yoga studio, a reclaimed wood reception desk, natural wood cabinetry and lockers, and natural stone tile in its changing rooms. The corridors of the centre feature custom yoga-inspired art pieces lit by LED lights representing the colours of the chakras.
Doors are scheduled to open before January, 2013 at 350 Queens Quay West. The center is now accepting new members. The first 100 members will be invited to a private blessing of the studio.
