Eminata Group Executive Chairman Attends Animals in War Dedication in Ottawa
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/09/12 -- Eminata's Executive Chairman, Dr. Peter Chung attended the official unveiling ceremony of the Animals in War (AIW) Dedication in Ottawa on November 3, 2012.
Founded by Lloyd Swick, a Second World War veteran who also served in the Korean War, the Animals in War Dedication Project honours the animals that also served and died in battle alongside Canadian and Allied forces. Dr. Chung joined Mrs. Laureen Harper, Honourary Patron of the Animals in War Dedication Project, Mr. Swick and other officials for the unveiling of a dog sculpture and depictions of the various beasts of burden created by renowned artist David Clendining.
Addressing the crowd on behalf of the Eminata Group, Presenting Sponsor of the AIW project, Dr. Chung expressed gratitude to all veterans and animals for the sacrifices they've made.
"It is truly fitting that today we stand here in front of this beautiful dedication and take a moment to give thanks for all that we have, and give thanks for all God's creatures who have perished in brave service," Chung said.
After the ceremony, Dr. Chung posed with Mrs. Harper and Mr. Swick near the sculpture. Animals in War presented the Eminata Group with a plaque recognizing the company's contribution. Mrs. Harper also sent a letter expressing her gratitude to all organizers, volunteers and sponsors for their unwavering dedication.
