sustainable growth
Munich, 12 November 2012. Youbisheng Green Paper AG, a Chinese manufacturer
of environmentally friendly linerboard for the growing Chinese consumer
goods industry, has demonstrated outstanding growth and high profitability
over the last nine months in 2012.
With revenues of EUR 74.0 million compared to last year's EUR 68.0 million,
Youbisheng achieved a growth rate of 8.8% despite fully utilized production
capacity. During the same period 2011, the EBIT accounted for EUR 16.1
million and increased by 13.6% to EUR 18.3 million. This had a positive
affect on the EBIT margin as well, developing from 23.6% to 24.7%. As of 30
September 2012, cash and cash equivalents added up to EUR 40.7 million in
comparison to EUR 30.9 million as of 31 December 2011.
Sales growth was achieved in all product categories, especially with
innovative, value added products: Sales of the double-sided testliner
increased by 15.4% to EUR 15.2 million and the newly introduced
anti-counterfeit testliner reached sales of EUR 1.5 million (2011: EUR 0).
Single-sided testliner revenue was up by 2.1% to EUR 34.5 million and
sub-contracted testliner grew by 8.3% to EUR 22.8 million.
In line with its overall growth strategy, Youbisheng intends to invest into
a third high-end testliner production line in Huanggang City, Hubei
Province. The new production line will have an annual capacity of an
additional 300,000 tons, twice as much as the present production capacity,
which currently amounts to 150,000 tons. The company plans to take this
step forward as the market demands are exceeding the company's current
production capacity. The investment is to be financed by a bond and the
company' strong operating cash flow.

Youbisheng Green Paper AG is the German holding company of a Chinese
clean-tech leader of environmentally friendly produced linerboard from up
to 100% recovered fibres. Linerboard is a type of paperboard, which is
predominantly used for the production of corrugated board and boxes, paper
bags as well as apparel labels and tags. The high-quality linerboard
innovations of Youbisheng take up a special position in the Chinese market
and are produced in the own production plant near Quanzhou City. They are
used in the packaging industry in the Fujian and Guangdong Province
(together about 141 million inhabitants), especially for visually
attractive sales packaging and carrier bags of high-quality consumer goods.
Youbisheng has been operating as a paper producer since 2000. In fiscal
year 2011 and with its production plants operating at full capacity, it
manufactured almost 150,000 metric tons of linerboard, making it one of the
biggest linerboard producers in Fujian and Guangdong Provinces.
