For 2012, eHealth Initiative (eHI) chose several key areas of focus: organization/governance; maturity and scope of exchange; involvement with other policy programs; and financing. Of approximately 342 Health Information Exchange (HIE) initiatives in the U.S that were solicited; 161 participated by completing the survey in its entirety.
