Ten Canadians Honoured During a Presentation Ceremony of the Diamond Jubilee Medal in Montreal

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/27/12 -- The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal was presented to ten recipients from various walks of life today during a presentation ceremony at the Manege militaire des Fusiliers Mont-Royal, in Montreal, Quebec. His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, presided over the ceremony.

This commemorative medal is being presented throughout the year to 60 000 deserving Canadians to celebrate significant contributions and achievements, and to recognize those who, like Her Majesty The Queen, have dedicated themselves to service to their fellow citizens, their community and their country.
