participate at the matchmaking session organized on 25-26 May
Welcome to meet with the representatives of Latvia at the fair as well as at the
match-making session. It is an opportunity to get hold of an informative
overview of the business environment in Latvia, but especially co-operation
possibilities with some of the most competitive companies in the Latvian
Bioenergy sector.
There are comprehensive business possibilities for companies interested in
biomass suppliers and its production or companies interested to offer their
services and expertise in Latvia.
Latvia has the highest share of renewables in energy consumption, more than 3.5
times that of EU-27. Our main sources of renewable energy are biomass and waste
thanks to our large forests and important wood processing industry. The second
largest source of renewable energy is hydropower.
There are number of Swedish companies from bionenergy sector which already work
in Latvia, among them Lantmännen Agroenergi AB, Ragn-Sells AB and Investment AB
Kinnevik.
