Kölleda, 2 June 2010. The Executive Board of Funkwerk AG (ISIN
DE0005753149) has set up a new office. With effect from 1 October 2010,
Carsten Ahrens (47), previously sole managing director at Ericsson
Deutschland, will take on the position of Chief Technology Officer at
Funkwerk in which role he will be responsible for the further development
and controlling of communication and information technologies within the
group.
In Carsten Ahrens, Funkwerk gains a recognised technology expert with 20
years of experience in the telecommunication and IT sector, who has made
his mark in various leading positions both at national and international
level. In his most recent role at Ericsson, Ahrens was responsible for
business in Germany. On numerous occasions throughout his professional
career, he set up new business units in the multimedia and consulting
sector which he subsequently led to success (including as managing director
of Ericsson Consulting and as Director Consulting and Systems Integration
at Atos Origin).
