Berlin, 16.06.2010: Frogster Interactive Pictures AG, international
publisher of massively multiplayer online games with headquarters in Berlin
and subsidiaries in Berlin, San Francisco and Seoul, records a growth of
its user base to 5 million which is the number of registered intensive
players of challenging MMO Games. Thousands of new users add to it on a
daily basis.
Update on License Purchase
After months of intensive search, talks, testing and negotiations mostly
with developers and publishers abroad, Frogster is in far advanced
negotiations with three licensors for three MMO game licenses with AAA
quality claim. The management anticipates at least one license agreement to
be closed shortly. For the one or more titles, a release is already
scheduled for 2011.
For the financing of the planned license purchases, Frogster conducts a
capital raise by 238,000 shares from authorized capital. The new shares are
issued without subscription rights and without a markdown to the stock
price of the last five trading days and are offered to institutional
shareholders in a private placement. Subscription interest is already at
hand. The chosen means of the capital raise shall ensure that, measured on
its small size, it will neither cause excessive time, management and cost
effort nor disturbances of stock exchange trading in the share.
Update on Shareholder Pool
The management has had a first conversation with a new interested buyer of
shares from the shareholder pool. The further progress of the talks and the
question whether within the deadline that only lasts until June 30th a
purchase intent will be posted from that party and - if so - to which
conditions, remains to be seen. Concerning the already announced interest
of a financial investor, the company is currently having conversations on
whether to carry out a due diligence.
