rewards from the actions of 2012 - strong performance in Q1 2013
Eindhoven, June 04, 2013 - Catalis SE, the worldwide service provider for
the digital media and entertainment industry, is pleased to announce its
financial results for the first quarter of 2013.
-Revenues increased to EUR 7.02m (2012: EUR 6.90m)
-EBIT first quarter EUR 0.55m (2012: EUR 0.10m)
-Operating cash flow of EUR 0.6m (2012: EUR -0.3m)
-Earnings per share EUR Cent 0.5 (2012: EUR Cent -0.2)
-Full year forecast reconfirmed with revenues up and EBIT up
Through organic growth, Teutonic Labs achieved record Q1 revenues of EUR
4.7 m - a significant 29.8% increase when compared with Q1 revenues of the
previous year (Q1 2012: EUR 3.6 m). Correspondingly, Testronic generated a
superior EBIT of EUR 0.5 m (Q1 2012: EUR 0.2 m). Kuju generated steady
revenues of EUR 2.2 m (Q1 2012: EUR 3.1 m), and an EBIT of EUR 0.3 m (Q1
2012: EUR 0.4 m). The recent restructuring has improved efficiency,
boosting the EBIT margin to 14.9 % (Q1 2012: 12.7%).
'During 2012 we took decisive actions in restructuring the Catalis Group.
We appointed new management, we reduced our overheads, we closed
loss-making operations and we focussed our attention on Catalis' most
successful and profitable operating divisions. These measures were
intended to provide a solid foundation for growth. I have no doubt that
these decisions spurred our strong performance in Q1 2013. We've had a
successful quarter, demonstrating strong organic growth. We hold an
encouraging order book, and we expect to capitalise on the market growth in
games development and testing.' commented Dominic Wheatley.
Catalis expects revenues to come in ahead of 2012, with revenues up from
EUR 27.7m to between EUR 29m and EUR 32m and an EBIT from EUR 0.8m to
between EUR 1.8m and EUR 2.2m.
