prelado and PayPal form a symbiosis between mobile commerce and mobile
payment
PEACHES Mobile GmbH has signed a retailer contract with PayPal Deutschland
GmbH for its prelado brand. Work is now in full swing on integration with
prelado's online pay landscape, and the final results are due to go live in
mid-June 2013. prelado enables prepaid mobile phone users to view their
credit levels and use an app, the mobile web or conventional internet for
real-time, online top-ups with over 20 German mobile phone providers. Since
November 2012, this service for quickly and conveniently buying credit for
prepaid mobile phones has been available as part of a new Peaches Group
venture in Germany.
Using PayPal, users can buy credit with a single click of a button without
the need to transfer sensitive account or credit card information. The new
pay function is available via app, the mobile web and conventional
internet, and its one-click function is a feature of the iOS and Android
apps alike.

Peaches Group, adds, 'The German go-live of PayPal is planned for mid-June.
We aim to expand our joint operations, and Peaches Group will shortly
launch this service for its users elsewhere in the European Union and in
the USA.'
Peaches Group is a provider of top-up services for prepaid (pay-as-you-go)
mobile phone solutions. The Wiesbaden-based company's prelado - prepaid
anytime&anywhere brand allows users to top up their prepaid mobile phones
in real time via an app, the mobile web and conventional internet. They can
also use a free app (Android&iOS) to view their credit levels, regardless
of their particular operator. prelado currently supports over 20 mobile
phone providers in Germany.
Peaches Group:
The core competencies of the Peaches Group can be divided into two
different segments: Payments&Prepaid Services.
The group has real-world experience in the field of mobile payments and
positions itself as a mobile payment acquirer featuring an in-house mobile
payment platform. Peaches also acts as a reseller (PSP, payment service
provider) for the mpass mobile payment service of Telekom, Vodafone and O2.
The Peaches Group also provides prepaid top-up services. The
Wiesbaden-based group of companies also runs an in-house prepaid service
platform under the prelado prepaid anytime&anywhere brand, which offers
users a real-time mobile telephone top-up service that can be accessed via
app, the mobile web, and the internet. A free, provider-neutral prepaid
current balance display is also available via an app (Android&iOS). This
prepaid service is available from PEACHES Mobile GmbH as a white label
solution for interested partners. The full-service offering, including
airtime, payment processing, and a payment guarantee, is run wholly in the
partner's CI/CD.
The Peaches Group includes PEACHES Systems GmbH, PEACHES Mobile GmbH and
REA MOBILE GmbH, which are subsidiaries of PEACHES AG.
