The top university TU Dresden and the traditional transport company Robert Bayer GmbH are enthusiastic about the innovative fleet software comm.fleet from Chemnitz.
comm.fleet - Fleet Management Software(firmenpresse) - The Technical University of Dresden (TUD) is the largest university in the state of Saxony with nearly 37,000 students and more than 6,500 employees. In addition to engineering and the natural sciences, the wide range of subjects contains also humanities, social sciences and medical studies. As a full university, TUD is one of the strongest research universities and since 2012 one of the eleven leading universities in Germany. People from over 120 countries are studying and researching at the TUD.
The TU Dresden combines tradition with innovation. This is also evident in the selection of a new software system to optimize planning and organizational processes of their fleets. The Department 4 "Transport and Traffic" of the university opted the use of comm.fleet, a product of community4you.
comm.fleet covers the full range of fleet management and can be embedded perfectly into existing system environments. Accesses for modules, windows or dialog elements can be individually established in comm.fleet, whereby a precise control of rights and organizational management is possible.
comm.fleet supports TUD particularly efficient also in respect to tank data management and analysis of the data which can be automatically imported into the system. In detail, this means the University imports their data by DKV fuel data import into the comm.fleet system. Then the responsible employee analyses the fuel consumption. The evaluation tool provides a clear cost control as well as a rapid detection of possible misuse.
In addition, the modern fleet software enables archiving of documents and files for instant access, without the hassle of searching in bins. The archive function operates not only in connection with the vehicle's electronic record, but is integrated in all relevant points in comm.fleet, e.g. at the business partner, at the vehicle, at the repair order or at the invoice. Whether scanned documents or files, everything can be easily attached and stored in the database. Of course, these documents can be viewed and edited at any time with the original programs. Thus, comm.fleet ensures perfect form management on all aspects of the fleet, says Sven Urbanek, Fleet Manager at the TU Dresden.
The possibility of an efficient fuel data management was a major reason for Robert Bayer GmbH to decide for comm.fleet - the perfect business solution in fleet management.
With the purchase of his first truck in Zwiefalten, Robert Bayer senior founded already a transport company in 1929. Today, the Robert Bayer GmbH is the leading mineral oil transport company in southwestern Germany, supplying over 1,000 service stations, thereof about 750 in their own planning and management. The company offers the entire extensive supply logistics to its customers. This includes gas station disposition, quantity management and quantity monitoring, data recording and individual data links.
To react flexibly at any time and to cope with the demands of everyday transportation needs reliable, the Robert Bayer GmbH operates with 70 own tankers and 190 drivers in a 2- or a 3-shift business. This ensures on time deliveries of the highest quality standard.
The transport company has decided for the utilization of a modern and modular fleet management system comm.fleet, a software product of the community4you, for a professional management of its fleet.
The main reason for this decision was the fact that the new fleet software optimally supports our company by an extensive fuel data management. Thereby comm.fleet allows an automatic fuel data import via interfaces and also full updates of odometer readings. We are able to evaluate and to react accordingly to monthly variations, differences or ambiguities with the free maintainable plausibility checks in respect to fuel data analysis, explains Norbert Cavar, Transport Manager at the Robert Bayer GmbH.
The ultra-modern software system comm.fleet was extensively expanded and architecturally redesigned. Therefore, the current version 3 provides not only about 850 news but also structural alterations, such as the online and mobile reporting portal.
