Flood Control with Unified Messaging – serVonic IXI-UMS Emergency Mode
With its unified messaging server IXI-UMS, serVonic not only offers the conventional UM-features, but also an effective alert system in case of flood control: When the system switches to the “Emergency Mode”, only an authorized group of people is enabled to use IXI-UMS for quick and reliable express notifications. In a public authority in a flood-affected area in Germany, all the required authorities and persons that way could be alarmed effectively, quickly and reliably and thus were able to react accordingly.
In a public authority, serVonic’s IXI-UMS is also used in case of flood control with Emergency Mode(firmenpresse) - serVonic’s IXI-UMS Unified Messaging Server solution is operated for this public authority by a reputable service provider as Managed Service in its EDPC. The unified messaging features for Fax and SMS are provided highly available in order to guarantee a speedy and secure information flow. Alert messages as well as notifications about the water level arrive at the respective recipient promptly. That way, serVonic’s IXI-UMS certainly cannot prevent high water, but at least assist the responsible authorities and persons by informing them as quickly as possible so that they can take protection measures already at an early stage.

The Emergency Mode is now available with IXI-UMS Version 6.0 for prices beginning at 650 Euro (plus legal VAT, if applicable) at serVonic and sales partners.
