Successful crowdfunding finalizing over 150% of the goal – More than 60 retail and distribution requests from all over the world – German Start-Up keeps Kickstarter Offers online until end of August

To celebrate the day, the corks popped. 190.000 US-Dollar have been collected through the popular American crowdfunding platform kickstarter.com – and thus were achieved more than 150% of the goal to fund this project. For Jens Thieme, founder and CEO of the German startup, this is an extremely positive signal: „We are very happy with the success of Scrooser on kickstarter. With the fresh capital, we can now take final developments of our innovative Impulse Drive and we get a lot closer to our goal. What has really overwhelmed us within the last 30 days, we had an incredibly good response from backers from all over the world. This supports our believe that we have introduced the right product at the right time at the right place - and we should be really proud about that! "
Just 14 days after launching the campaign the e-mobility project from Dresden had reached the funding goal of 120.000 USD. Along with astonishing press coverage, in special on the leading tech and design blogs in the U.S., Europe and Hongkong, the success was mainly thanks to preselling the first 25 units of SCROOSER. While one supporter chose to back us with unbelieveable 10.000 USD for Scrooser with serial number 001 – therefor he can soon primp himself with the title „Patron of urban mobility, a poetic short-documentary of the production process – the future owners of serial numbers 002 to 025 will receive their Scrooser with an individual dedication and 20% cheaper compared to the official retail price of 4900 USD (4250 EUR) per unit, version „pure“.
While the exicted blog environment simply dubbed „Harley Davidson for the Sidewalk“, SCROOSER is now looking forward to its market maturity. The inventors of Scrooser are sure about a strong worldwide request. Thieme: „We have over 60 distributor and retail requests from potential partners around the world. Further, the interest of the individual customer keeps on. Many of the potential purchasers had to notice already during the campaign, that the budget-priced „Early Backer Special“ was already sold out. The SCROOSER Manufactory team therefore rose the offer with an „Early Backer Special 2.0 just before the final of the crowdfunding project, which allowed the backers to get a Scrooser with a highly individual color combination and free worldwide shipping – along with a saving of 1000 USD.
„And we decided to keep exactly this offer online until end of August“, Jens Thieme continues. „Thereby we react to the constantly high request and try to show all backers and believers, who were and are ready to support our projects even months before delivery, our gratitude.“ Soon there will be a corresponding preorder option available on the company's website scrooser.com . Scrooser will be available for the Kickstarter-special price of 4750 USD (3650 EUR) including packing and shipment and can be preordered in a custom color combination for a prepayment of 50%. Beyond that, Thieme ensures to deliver as early as possible: „In order our customers will be the first in their city next summer to redefine urban mobility with Scrooser.“ The prepayment will be stored on a trust account to provide maximum safety for our customer. Thereby the full refunding of payments is ensured, if no delivery takes place.
