Endurance Appoints Catherine A. Kalaydjian as Chief Operations Officer

PEMBROKE, Bermuda - July 23, 2013 - Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd.
(NYSE:ENH), a Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty
insurance and reinsurance, today announced that Catherine A. Kalaydjian will
assume the role of Chief Operations Officer. In this role, she will have
management oversight of Information Technology, Insurance and Reinsurance
Underwriting Operations, Procurement and Program Management in addition to
oversight of her former activities. Ms. Kalaydjian is based in Endurance's
Bermuda office reporting to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, John
Charman. Her appointment is subject to approval by the Bermuda Department of
Immigration.

Ms. Kalaydjian served as the Chief Claims Officer since March 2007 and was
promoted to Chief Administrative Officer in December 2012, retaining her Claims
role. She joined Endurance in 2003 as Senior Vice President, Head of Claims for
the U.S. reinsurance operations. Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President,
Head of Claims for QBE North America. Ms. Kalaydjian is an active leader in
industry organizations, having served on several not-for-profit boards and as
President of the International Association of Claim Professionals as well as the
Association of Professional Insurance Women. Ms. Kalaydjian holds a BA cum laude
in Marketing Management from Siena College, Loudonville, NY.
