Douglas, Isle of Man, 24 July 2013: Haldane McCall PLC (Stuttgart: WKN A1J3U8, HMK1), a European company investing in emerging markets in Africa, considers taking legal action against Börse Berlin AG, the Berlin Stock Exchange.
Haldane McCall Plc is an issuer of shares that are included in the over-the-counter market of Börse Stuttgart, the Stuttgart Stock Exchange. The issuer submitted a request for a second listing on the Berlin Stock Exchange. With a public announcement on 11 July 2013 Börse Berlin AG informed about the inclusion of shares issued by Haldane McCall plc starting from 12 July 2013.
On 12 July 2013 Börse Berlin AG also announced via public notice that the trading of the shares from the issuer would be suspended on the same day and ceased from 15 July 2013.
The public announcement made by Börse Berlin AG does not include an explanation.
After queries on part of the issuer as well as concerned investors, the suspension and delisting were explained by Börse Berlin AG with the note that “proper trading on the stock exchange could currently not be ensured”.
Due to the fact that all attempts made by Haldane McCall Plc to have a conversation were rejected by Börse Berlin AG with reference to a non-existing legal relationship and due to the fact that until today no factual explanation was given, Haldane McCall Plc deems it unavoidable to take legal action against the Berlin Stock Exchange in order to repeal the suspension of trading and the delisting.
The company will provide information regarding any further developments in this matter in due time.
