Beaver Creek Village will once again host its premier summer art festival August 3 - 4, 2013.
A vast array of artwork will be on display and for sale including bold and vibrant paintings, contemporary art, along with southwest inspired creations, life-size sculptures, photography and jewelry. The festival is set-up around Beaver Creek Resort in the Vail Valley, just a few hours from Denver and Aspen.
"Beaver Creek Village is one of the finest venues in the country," says festival promoter Howard Alan. "This event is popular among tourists and locals alike because of the eclectic mix of art on display each year as well as the scenic setting."
An art giveaway will give festival patrons an opportunity to win an original framed "24 x 30" painting, titled "Breckenridge" by participating artist Karen Heuton, valued at $900. Karen has been described as a referential contemporary aritst and has won awards for her warm and timeless palette. Armed with a palette knife and brushes, she uses acrylics, gels, pastes and varnishes to create her original paintings.
