Top keynotes, current Theme Clouds, innovative MICE Labs and hitherto unused locations: when the MICE Club opens its doors in Cologne on 14 and 15 November 2013, participants can expect a programme with exciting content, interdisciplinary speakers and an overall setting that’s buzzing with energy.

(firmenpresse) - The premiere is where 80 event and meeting planners from companies, agencies and associations will meet 40 product and service providers from the MICE sector. Participants can expect an industry event far removed from the MICE industry mainstream. Dominik Deubner, owner of the DOMSET Live Communication Agency and initiator of the new format explains: "The MICE Club is neither a classic MICE fair with pre-arranged appointments nor a congress with a podium and a one-dimensional stage performance. Rather, it is based more on an educational format, which aims to encourage long-term dialogue on common trends, opportunities and visions in our exciting industry."
An inspiration workshop that addresses current issues
The MICE Club sees itself as a practical inspiration workshop for the entire event industry. An innovative meeting architecture, based around the components Educational, MICE Lab and Networking, ensures a framework for exciting content and dialogue.

The MICE Club focuses on the latest topics which will be addressed by international thought leaders:
- In his keynote speech the Swiss branding expert Rolf Gruber will talk about the art of "Brand Positioning in the MICE Business". The thought leader in corporate branding and corporate identity addresses the need for strong brands in the events and meetings industry.
-Mike van der Vijver will moderate Theme Cloud 1 "Meeting Architecture of tomorrow − between high-tech and meadow". The Dutch coach and author of the bestseller "Into the Heart of Meetings” also supports the entire MICE Club as facilitator and moderator.
- Theme Cloud 2 covers " Themed Destinations − Themed Venues: New Opportunities in MICE Marketing". Keynote speaker Rolf Gruber and Rolf Seiler, Editor in Chief of the Swiss magazine Expodata perform as contentual patrons.
- "Be here − Be now. Decelerate for top performance" promises Willem Stortelder. The co-founder of the communications think-tank "21 Lobsterstreet" has one overriding aim: to initiate a paradigm shift in the event and MICE industry in Cologne. He will present Theme Cloud 3, together with Jürgen Heinrich, Editor in Chief of the German magazine Events.




In order to facilitate intensive and personal dialogue between buyer and supplier, the MICE Club offers thematically structured MICE Labs with interactive sessions and plenty of opportunities for networking in a stimulating atmosphere. The MICE Club will use six different venues, including the Alte Pfandhaus, the Rheinloft and The New Yorker I Dock One as well as three surprise off-site locations in the trendy district of Ehrenfeld. Both industry magazines Event and Expodata will play a supporting role as media partners.

Online portal for Club Members
MICE Club − the name says it all. All buyers and suppliers who attend the event will automatically get one year’s Club Membership which includes use of the event industry portal www.mice-club.com. From Autumn 2013 this will feature a strong editorial section with the latest news, as well as an exclusive members area platform for networking, exchange of experiences and initial business contacts. With the launch of the MICE Club, the online portal is also available to all MICE-Professionals. For an annual subscription of 60 EURO interested meeting and event planners acquire membership in the new community. Suppliers, in turn, can use the value-oriented environment and innovative features of the portal to present their products and services. Their annual subscription is 500 EURO.
