Minister Blaney Launches Cyber Security Awareness Month and Encourages Canadians to Get Cyber Safe

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 10/01/13 -- Today, the Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, launched Cyber Security Awareness Month and kicked off this year's efforts for , Canada's national public awareness campaign on cyber security.

"Our day to day lives have become entwined with the online world, be it at work, at home, or on the go, and being secure online has never been more important. October's Cyber Security Awareness Month reminds us that there are simple things we can all do to stay safe online," said Minister Blaney. "I encourage all Canadians to take some extra time this month to learn how to better protect themselves and their families."
