Las Olas Art Fair returns this weekend with many shades of . The festival will feature 150 of the finest artists from as many as 30 different states as well as top local talent, many of whom have created special artwork in honor of . The festival is produced by Howard Alan Events and hosted by the Las Olas Association.
Howard Alan Events takes an active role during and provides artists with an ideal venue in which to display art inspired by their experience with this disease. They hope to reach many of the thousands of locals and tourists that turn out for this two-day event and hope they will be supportive of their efforts. The artists' booths will be identified with a pink ribbon and partial proceeds from the sale of these items will be donated to breast cancer research.
Among the many artists exhibiting items is sculptor Pamela Hill, who lost her mother to this devastating disease and counts her sister among the fortunate survivors; Jodi Crespi and her P.J. Art Tags; wood sculptor Steve Cebula; jewelry designers Arlene & Michael Parker, Mark Billman and Jay Lensink well as Finny Lazarus with her pink pearl necklaces; Marlene Kurland and her painting titled "A Back View/Fighting Back;" Sharon Kusha featuring her painting "Pink Hair;" and photographer Chris Gug.
An Art Giveaway will give festival patrons an opportunity to win an original framed abstract painting by participating artist David Edmund. The giveaway prize will be on display at his booth throughout the weekend. Additional information and images of David's work can be found on his website, .
