Ahold share buyback update

Zaandam, the Netherlands, October 21, 2013 - Ahold has repurchased 1,665,194
Ahold common shares in the period from October 14, 2013 up to and including
October 18, 2013. The shares were repurchased at an average price of ? 13.3550
per share for a total consideration of ? 22.24 million. These repurchases were
made as part of the ? 500 million share buyback program announced on February
28, 2013 as increased by ? 1.5 billion to a total amount of ? 2 billion
announced on June 4, 2013.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 44,430,106
common shares for a total consideration of ? 547.09 million.
