Veidekke ASA : Veidekke to build homes at Sørengstranda in Oslo

Veidekke Entreprenør has signed an agreement with D1a Utvikling AS, which is
owned 50-50 by Rema Eiendom Øst and Veidekke Eiendom, to build the first stage
of a development at Sørengstranda in Bjørvika. This stage consists of 137 homes
with underground parking, with a sales value of NOK 900 million. Altogether, it
is planned to build homes with a sales value of about NOK 1.5 billion at
Sørengstranda.
The apartments in Sørengstranda stage one went on sale in May 2013 and sales
have already reached NOK 200 million. The entire project will feature 212 homes,
from compact, 2-room apartments of 40 m(2) to spacious, front-facing 5-room
apartments with panoramic view. The first residents can move in in the first
quarter of 2016.
"What is unique about Sørengstranda is its location, with the city and the sea
close at hand. Just a few hundred metres from Lambda and the Norwegian Opera,
residents will be able to take their coffee on the terrace and enjoy a view past
Hovedøya to the fjord. The nearest neighbours, a park to the north and a canal
to the south, both offer unique recreational opportunities. A jetty on the canal
gives opportunities for kayaking, while the commercial premises on the ground
floor offer the prospect of enjoying a good dinner on the jetty in the
sunshine," says the project manager for Sørengstranda, Magnus Rongved of
Veidekke Eiendom.
Building stage two will include 75 apartments, more commercial premises and not
least a Rema 1000 store to meet Sørenga's grocery needs.
