Roland Weise is Named Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SNP AG
Heidelberg, 12 November 2013 - The Supervisory Board of SNP
Schneider-Neureither&Partner AG, Heidelberg, (ISIN DE0007203705) has a
new leader: Roland Weise, formerly the CEO and a long-serving member of the
management team at Media Saturn Holding in Ingolstadt, was appointed on 4
November 2013 to the Supervisory Board of SNP AG and elected as its new
Chairman today. The previous Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Thomas
Volk, resigned his mandate effective 31 October 2013 to focus on his role
as CEO of the UK-based Lumesse Corporate Ltd, which he took on in the
spring.
Roland Weise was appointed to the Supervisory Board of SNP AG on 4 November
2013. Today (12 November 2013), the Supervisory Board elected him as its
Chairman. Holding a degree in business administration, the 61-year-old is
greatly respected worldwide for his achievements, including his extensive
and enduringly successful expansion of the Media Saturn Group. He has vast
experience and knowledge of the development and expansion of markets and in
the finance sector. Before being appointed CEO of the Media Saturn Group,
Weise's responsibilities included the Group's finances as well as key
markets such as Russia, Turkey and Germany. 'I am looking forward to my new
role on the Supervisory Board of SNP AG. The company has impressive
solutions and concepts in significant specialist areas of IT, and can tap
into markets quickly and generate relevant growth', said Weise. Dr Andreas
Schneider-Neureither, CEO and a major shareholder of SNP AG, added: 'We are
delighted that Mr Weise, a fine person and a highly regarded top manager,
has agreed to join our Supervisory Board. With his many years of
experience, Roland Weise will give us outstanding support in the next
phases of our development'.
Thomas Volk joined the Supervisory Board of SNP as its Chairman in 2011.
During his time in office, he supported key phases of SNP AG's
transformation from a consultancy firm to a software company. Thomas Volk
started work as Managing Director of Lumesse Corporate Ltd in Luton,
England in spring 2013. The Executive Board and Supervisory Board of SNP AG
would like to thank Volk for his valuable contribution. Volk will maintain
amicable links with the company.
