St. Gallen, 25. August 2010 - CLEANTECH INVEST AG (ISIN: CH0034183175,
Ticker Frankfurt: 4CT, Ticker Berne: CTI, www.cleantech-invest.ch) - a
Berne and Frankfurt Stock Exchange listed Growth Capital Fund focusing on
Clean Technology Investments in the German-speaking region - announces that
it has received the majority of proceeds from its SiC Processing AG exit.
After all closing conditions of the transaction have been met and clearance
from cartel authorities has been received, Cleantech Invest AG obtained 95%
of the stipulated exit proceeds. In the Half Year Report 2010 of Cleantech
Invest AG these proceeds were still shown as Receivables. The remaining 5%
of exit proceeds are expected within the next 8 months, subject to
additional purchaser claims. As of 20th August 2010 cash and cash
equivalents of Cleantech Invest AG exceeded 6.0m EUR, translating to 0.57
EUR per share.
Cleantech Invest AG had been a shareholder of SiC Processing AG for almost
three years. Through the purchase of additional shares from an existing
shareholder, Cleantech Invest AG had been able to double its stake in SiC
Processing AG in summer 2009 - making it the largest investment in its
portfolio. In June 2010 Nordic Capital Fund VII signed a contract to take
over the majority of SiC Processing AG.
SiC Processing is a leading supplier in the recovery and processing of
sawing slurry in silicon wafer production. Its headquarters are located in
Hirschau, Germany and the company runs production facilities in Germany,
Norway, Italy, China and the USA.
