Citycon sells 181 apartments in ÿkersberga Centrum
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - CITYCON OYJ Stock Exchange Release 7 July 2009 at 14.00 hrsCitycon has agreed on the divestment of two mainly residentialproperties connected to the ÿkersberga Centrum shopping centre,located in the Greater Stockholm area. The buyer is the Swedishinvestment company Tegeltornet AB and the price SEK 181 million(approx. EUR 16.7 million)."Residential properties are not part of Citycon's strategy. After thesale of the apartments we will focus on the improvement of thecentre," comments Petri Olkinuora, Citycon's CEO.According to the contract signed today, Citycon will sell a total of181 apartments with a combined living area of 12,050 sq.m. and atotal area of 16,100 sq.m. Closing of the transaction is expected totake place during the fourth quarter.The transaction is the second within a short period. In June, Cityconsold 72 apartments in Liljeholmen, Stockholm to Heba Fastighets AB.Citycon's ownership stake in ÿkersberga Centrum is 75 per cent. Theother owner of the shopping centre is the real estate company ArmadaFastigheter AB, owned by the municipality of ÿsteråker. Cityconacquired the centre in 2005.
