Berlin, 23/02/2011: Dirk Weyel, co-founder and COO of Frogster Interactive
Pictures AG, will resign from the executive board of the Frogster Group per
April 2011 in best mutual agreement to devote himself to new professional
challenges. Dirk Weyel played a large part in Frogster's consequent
strategic shift to the online games business and was jointly responsible
for the integration and management of the various subsidiaries of the
Berlin-based publisher. He will remain closely connected to Frogster and
continue to be available for consultation.
Christoph Gerlinger, chairman of the executive board, comments: 'Dirk has
been a close associate of mine at Frogster right from the start. We thank
him for the work he has done in the previous six years, the pleasant
collaboration with his colleagues in the executive board, and his
considerable contribution to the success of Frogster. I personally thank
Dirk for the amicable teamwork during the joint development of Frogster
through all the highs and lows.'
Dirk Weyel's responsibilities will be assigned to his fellow board member,
Seth Iorio.
Executive Board Member Seth Iorio Appointed to COO
Seth Iorio, since now as Chief Technology Officer in the executive board,
is to be appointed to Chief Operating Officer (COO) with the resignation of
Dirk Weyel. He simultaneously acts as COO and Managing Director of the 100%
subsidiary Frogster Online Gaming GmbH.
