business
09.05.2011 / 20:00
---------------------------------------------------------------------
(Karlsruhe, May 9th, 2011) Recyc Commodities SE has taken an 83 % stake in
the Mannheim based Provaluta AG. The Provaluta AG reprocesses precious
metals, and trades actively with raw and recyclable materials. In addition,
Provaluta AG acts as an investment vehicle in order to consolidate the
operations of the various investments while optimizing them both from a
strategic as well as economic standpoint; through its size, as well as the
given synergistic potential. As a result, Provaluta AG bought a 50 % stock
in MWF Metall Recycling GmbH, whose business focus is the profitable
recycling of catalytic converters allowing MWF to extract platinum group
metals such as Rhodium, Palladium and Platinum, which are currently in
strong demand.
About Provaluta AG
Aside from the reprocessing of precious metals from catalytic converters,
the business focus of Provaluta AG is the profitable recycling and trading
of raw and recyclable materials. The company sells physical unrefined
Gold, Silver and Rhodium to smelters and refineries. Provaluta AG earns
its money with the trading margin between purchase and sale. In addition to
this, the company has established a further business which finances equity
investments and commercial transactions in the area of recycling as well as
for affiliated companies. Currently, the company is preparing itself for a
long-term boom in the demand for precious metals.
