As North Dakota expands it drilling operation to over 2000 wells in 2011,
the State will be without new sources of water and is at risk of limiting
oil production while it is overflowing with waste water. An estimated 132
million barrels of produced water and 48 million barrels of flow-back water
will be produced this year and that waste water has to be disposed of,
currently only 20% of the flow-back water is being recycled.
