Headstrong Games announces development of new Top Gun game
Eindhoven, June 30, 2011 - Catalis SE, the worldwide service provider for
the digital media industry, reports that Headstrong Games, one of its
work-for-hire games studios in the Kuju division, recently announced that
it is developing a new Top Gun game.
The title, Top Gun : Hard Lock, for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC
follows the successful release of the downloadable Top Gun game in 2010.
505 Games are the publisher and Headstrong Games will be handling the
development under a licensing deal with Paramount Pictures. The game's
modern day setting focuses on the training and development of the best of
the best fighter pilots from the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar and the
TOPGUN program.
The game gives players access to a variety of historic and modern combat
aircraft and takes them on a frantic ride through a dramatic,
adrenaline-driven story of military and political uncertainty. The Hard
Lock part of the title is derived from the close up, dog fighting side of
the game that borrows heavily from the flair and style of the original Top
Gun movies. With a variety of multiplayer scenarios and game modes, Top Gun
: Hard Lock offers something new for all flight combat gamers. It is
scheduled for release in Spring 2012.

With Top Gun : Hard Lock, it was all about keeping the feel of the movie
while bringing the storyline, gameplay and visuals bang up to date'.
