Heliocentris subsidiary P21 receives first purchase order following
takeover

* Order for monitoring and data acquisition as part of a scientific PV
testing platform for the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research
* Order placed by Heliocentris' new strategic partner Life Energy, Kuwait

Corporate News

Berlin - 7 July 2011. P21, a subsidiary of Heliocentris Energy Solutions
AG, has secured its first order since being taken over by Heliocentris, a
leading specialist in clean energy storage solutions. P21 has received an
order for monitoring and data acquisition as part of a scientific PV
systems testing platform at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research
(KISR). This project is part of the renewable energy programme carried out
by the institute, which is the research and development arm for the State
of Kuwait. The client is Life Energy, Kuwait, who has recently become a
strategic investor in Heliocentris. The speed with which the order was
concluded highlights the synergies that can be utilised thanks to the
partnership. The volume of the order amounts to almost EUR100,000.

The solution created for KISR is based on the Energy Manager from P21,
whose open architecture allows it to be used for a multitude of different
applications, alongside its primary function in the telecommunications
sector. The Energy Manager is therefore able to carry out monitoring and
control functions with its remote access functionality, which also enables
it to be used for scientific applications, as well as in the telecom, oil
and gas sectors.

One of the major challenges posed by this order is the extreme climate in

Kuwait. The main advantages offered by the P21 solution compared with other
conventional solutions are its robustness, even in harsh environmental
conditions, its flexibility, its simple scalability combined with minimal
hardware requirements and its competitive cost.

Utilising the Energy Manager in the context of PV monitoring will prove its
marketability in this field and can therefore potentially expand its
commercial usability.

'We are delighted to see P21 receiving its first order so quickly following
the takeover. The fact that this project is taking place in the Middle East
supports our expansion strategy in the region', says Dr Henrik Colell, CEO
of Heliocentris Energy Solutions AG.
