Vortex Toronto Launches Smartphone Apps for Heavy MTL and Heavy Toronto

(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 07/19/11 -- launches smartphone apps for both and festivals.

Both applications offer multiple options to maximize festival-goers experience of these two major musical events.

"With just a few clicks, you'll be able to check the complete agenda of all shows by group or artist, by time of day and by venue. In order to help users make interesting discoveries, the applications offer brief descriptions for each group and artist as well as links to their websites and iTunes stores. Users can also share all the information with their Facebook and Twitter account as well as by email," explains Philippe R. Bertrand, vice-president and chief information officer for Vortex Stardom.

In addition, a localisation service enables users to identify where they are on the site, to share a meeting point with others and to know which of their friends are present.

Event organisers will also be able to push last-minute information to users in real-time.

The Heavy MTL and Heavy Toronto are available in the iPhone Store and in the Android Market.
