Media Advisory: Maritime Command Change of Command

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 07/20/11 -- The Commander of Maritime Command, Vice-Admiral Dean McFadden will relinquish command to Vice-Admiral Paul Maddison during a change of command ceremony on July 22, 2011. The Chief of the Defence Staff, General Walt Natynczyk, will preside over the ceremony.

Details are as follows:

WHEN: Friday, July 22 at 10:30 a.m.

WHERE: Carling Campus, Building 6, 3500 Carling Avenue, Kanata (former Nortel Campus).

Media wishing to cover the event are asked to arrive no later than 10 a.m.

There will be a brief media availability following the ceremony, during which the new Commander of Maritime Command, Vice-Admiral Maddison, will be available to take questions from the media.

Media wishing to attend are required to pre-register no later than 3 p.m., July 21 at:

For those wishing to attend, a map can be provided to identify the media entrance and parking.
