SIU Continues Death Investigation in Peel
(firmenpresse) - MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 07/25/11 -- The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Peel Region early Sunday morning.
On Sunday July 24, 2011 at 2:15 a.m. Peel Regional Police (PRP) officers interacted with 53-year-old Keith Prescod of Toronto near the Pearson International Airport on the ramp to Terminal 3. Mr. Prescod was restrained and went into medical distress. He was taken to the William Osler Health Centre, Etobicoke General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
A post mortem was conducted today in Toronto. The results of this exam will be forthcoming to SIU investigators sometime in the future.
Six investigators and three forensic investigators are investigating this incident. The SIU has designated three officers as subject officers and eight officers as witness officers.
