Belgian operator BASE Company has selected Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) to implement
Ericsson's Charging & Billing in One solution.
With Ericsson's solution, BASE will be ready to support all retail and wholesale
programs defined by marketing in a flexible, agile and simplified way.
Ericsson's charging and billing solutions are currently supporting more than 2
billion subscribers worldwide. Ericsson Charging & Billing in One allows
operators to manage the end-to-end business, including charging, billing and
customer care, for all types of customers in a single real-time system.
Ericsson Charging & Billing in One hides complexity from the end user so they
can move seamlessly from one service to another and try them out as they choose.
Customers benefit from the clarity and convenience of a single bill for all
their services, as well as a single system supporting customer care.
Jos Donvil, CEO BASE Company, says: "As mobile centric player we are a truly
mobile and digital company in all possible aspects. We believe the future is
mobile and we are there to enable our customers to live a truly mobile life.
Therefore we keep looking for new digital solutions that we can offer our
customers to get even more out of their smartphones and other mobile devices."
Valter D'Avino, Head of Ericsson in Region Western and Central Europe, says:
"This implementation reconfirms our position as IT partner for BASE Company. We
are glad to be entrusted this project to support BASE with the transformation of
their IT to achieve an even better customer experience."
Operators need to offer service flexibility and choice as well as real-time
service controls for their customers. At the same time, they need to reduce the
complexity and cost of the IT environment that delivers it. Ericsson Charging &
Billing in One solves that problem.
Ericsson is recognized as the leading player in Operations Support Systems (OSS)
and BSS and aims to provide a complete, end-to-end portfolio of software,
hardware and services that meets operators' needs and gives them the agility
required to adapt quickly in a fast-moving marketplace. This comprehensive
portfolio also enables Ericsson to guide operators through a transformation that
aligns their business processes with their networks and IT for optimal
efficiency. Ericsson employs 16,000 consulting and systems integration
professionals who together deliver more than 1,500 projects each year.
