FKT – User Fair for Plastics Engineering in Bad Salzuflen: Clarion Events presents the new show format for plastics engineering

ID: 384112

The plastics processing industry has a new sector meeting point:
FKT - the user fair for plastics engineering will be making its début at Bad Salzuflen Exhibition Centre from 4-6 November 2015, where the entire process chain of plastics engineering will be showcased.

(firmenpresse) - The venue and the time of the event have been chosen deliberately. This show will take place alongside FMB - the supplier show for mechanical engineering, at which some 500 exhibitors will be covering the entire spectrum of supplies for mechanical and plant engineering. This range extends from metalworking to drive, electrical and control engineering through to handling technology. Owing to the fact that some of the visitors to the fair - directors, design engineers and buyers from the field of mechanical engineering - also procure, design or produce plastic components themselves, this will lead to natural synergistic relationships being generated between FMB and the new FKT fair.

The region of East Westphalia-Lippe also speaks for itself: Around 500 companies from the plastics and rubber industry are based in the immediate surroundings of the exhibition site, which achieve annual sales of 3 billion euros with a workforce of approx. 17,000. Added to these are numerous production plants which use plastic parts to a high degree - for instance manufacturers of clamps, switching devices, drive elements, household appliances and automotive components.

The new fair will provide you with an up-to-date overview of the entire process chain in plastics engineering - from the raw material to plastification, forming and processing through to the handling of the parts and further machining.
Experienced and accomplished suppliers will also be on site for processes such as the tempering of the tools as well as plastic-specific design tools (mould flow analysis) and testing processes (component measuring). And, specifically for downstream process steps such as parts handling and processing, there are many exhibitors just a few meters away at FMB who manufacture, for example, handling systems and automated machining stations. Synergistic effects are thus guaranteed here.

Christian Enßle, Show Manager FMB and FKT: "We are currently conducting intensive talks with well-known manufacturers of plastics machines and are confident that we will succeed in establishing FKT as a fixed date in the schedule of the decision-makers in the entire plastics industry."

A strong argument for the organisers is the comprehensive service offered to exhibitors: They can book complete packages comprising furniture, catering and marketing support. And since they can manage with a comparatively small stand, this is a cost-effective opportunity for interested companies to showcase their products and services to plastics processing companies in the East Westphalian network. Christian Enßle: "One of the reasons for the great success of FMB is its conceptual design as a "workshop-style fair" at which innovations are brought to market. This is where engineers, buyers and decision-makers come together to engage in discussions on potential joint projects in a focused manner. This will apply in exactly the same way to FKT."
