Despite the widespread economic recession, new orders for 1H2009 increased 67 percent over the same period last year, andrevenues set a company record.With 93 percent growth in orders and 250 percent growth in newcustomer acquisitions over the same period last year, Q2 2009 was thebest revenue quarter in Appian's history. This growth was driven byboth volume and size of transactions. Results were strong in allsectors -- international, commercial, federal and partners. Newcustomer acquisitions were complemented by expansion in several keycustomer accounts in North America and Europe.Customer Acquisition & ExpansionsAppian's success throughout 1H 2009 was driven by global marketdemand for both enterprise license and on-demand deployments ofAppian's comprehensive BPM Suite. As Appian's global customer basehas matured, many existing clients have moved beyond initial BPMprojects to drive enterprise-wide BPM programs.International Growth: Appian continued to extend its internationalpresence with customer wins and expansions across Europe (includingBest Deal Insurance, EFG Financials, and Nokia Siemens Networks),Latin America (including Fametal and Lascelles deMercado) andAsia-Pacific regions (including SSH Corporation, Yongtai Group, andJordan Dubai Capital).
