KONE acquires MARVI Elevator group in Spain

KONE has acquired the Spanish MARVI Elevator group. MARVI installs, maintains
and modernizes elevators in the eastern regions of Spain, and has an assembly
and logistics center in Lérida (Catalonia). The group has approximately 240
employees and a maintenance base of 12,500 units.
"This acquisition strengthens KONE's position in Spain and helps us to improve
our operations in the eastern provinces," says Eric Maziol, EVP and Area
Director for West and South Europe, KONE. "We are proud to add these new
customers and employees to our existing operations in Spain."
MARVI, which was founded in 1965, has experienced strong growth and developed
solid customer relationships over the years. It is one of the market leaders in
the eastern provinces of Spain.
