Pöyry awarded owner's engineer services assignment by Nakheel for two
substations in Dubai, UAE
Nakheel has awarded Pöyry with the owner's engineer services assignment for the
establishment of 132/11kV substations for two separate developments: Jumeirah
Village and Nad Al Hamar Residential Villas in Dubai, UAE. The assignment
includes tender preparation and bid evaluation, design review, supervision and
monitoring of installation works and commissioning of substation in coordination
with Dubai Water and Electricity Authority (DEWA).
The substations are the bulk power supply point for these developments and
interface between DEWA's 132kV transmission network and the 11kV distribution
network. They are indoor type incorporating state-of-the-art equipment and with
architecture finishes specifically selected to blend in with the theme of the
development.
