Rinse de Jong to be nominated for appointment to Supervisory Board

Almere, 14 October 2010 - The Supervisory Board of USG People wishes to announce
its intention to nominate Rinse de Jong for appointment to the Supervisory
Board.
Rinse de Jong (1948) is a registered accountant with a sound financial
background. In his most recent position as CFO of Essent he was responsible for
the company's day-to-day financial affairs as well as matters including risk
management and IT. In the past he also worked as CFO of ASM International N.V.
and held various positions at Reed-Elsevier including treasurer and controller.
Rinse de Jong is currently a member of the supervisory boards of APX-ENDEX,
Enexis Holding NV and EAH Holding B.V. The proposed appointment of Rinse de Jong
is in line with the Supervisory Board's previously announced wish to expand the
board with a financial expert.
Following a recent introduction with Rinse de Jong the Central Works Council has
adopted a positive stance towards the proposed appointment.
Rinse de Jong will chair the Audit Committee following his official appointment.
Alex Mulder, who temporarily filled the vacancy which arose on the Remuneration
and Appointments Committee with the death of Cor Brakel, will assume this
position on a permanent basis following the official appointment of Rinse de
Jong.
The Supervisory Board will nominate Rinse de Jong for appointment at the
upcoming Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM). He will join the
Supervisory Board pending his appointment.
