(firmenpresse) - BILLERICA, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/07/16 -- Winchester Systems Inc., a leading data storage solutions provider for federal and military C4ISR applications, today announced that it now offers a wide variety of 2.5" SSDs that offer capacity, endurance (measured in Drive Writes per Day or DWD) and price options for its rugged All Flash Array. These all flash systems are ideal for mobile deployable applications -- especially for high speed, real-time data acquisition from radar, camera, video and other sensor driven sources.
Importantly, these options lower the entry price point for low capacity solutions while also lowering the cost per GB for high capacity solutions as follows:
The rugged FlashDisk AFA delivers 487,000 IOPS continuous performance for random access applications and 12.6 GB/sec. data throughput for C4ISR applications including video, mapping, radar and data acquisition. It offers another key advantage for military applications - data is stored in native format and does not compromise performance with compression or de-duplication and yet is competitively priced on a cost per GB basis.
The rugged 2U base unit holds up to (24) 2.5" SSDs and SEDs with capacities ranging from 200 GB to 4 TB each to provide 4.8 TB to 96 TB. It offers single or dual controllers and up to 20 ports including Fibre Channel 8 Gb, Fibre Channel 16 Gb, 1 GbE and 10 GbE.

Prices for rugged FlashDisk AFA now start at under $30,000. Products are available now and delivery is 2-3 weeks.
