On 15 April 2016, Komax concluded the sale of Komax Medtech to GIMA, a
subsidiary of the Italian IMA Group. As a result, the entire equity of Komax
Systems LCF SA, Switzerland, the entire equity of Komax Systems Rockford Inc.,
USA and 76% of the equity of Komax Systems Malaysia Sdn. will be transferred to
the buyer. The remaining 24% of Komax Systems Malaysia Sdn. is subject to
options, under which this remainder could be transferred to IMA Group from
2018. The sale means that 250 people who currently work for Komax will become
employees of IMA Group.
With the conclusion of the sale of Komax Medtech, its Head, René Ronchetti, will
be leaving the Komax Executive Committee. René Ronchetti has worked for Komax
since 2012 and will be moving to Komax Medtech's buyer.
