Rosh Ha'ayin, October 28, 2010 Wizcom Technologies Ltd. ("Wizcom") (Prime
Standard: WZM, IL 0010830706) announces today, that effective November 1, 2010,
Ms. Tseela Lachish will take on the newly created role of VP Product Management.
In her new position Ms. Lachish will lead product management as well as the
mission to enlarge and update content and continue the development to production
of Wizcom's IPR.
Ms. Lachish's current position as Head of R&D at Wizcom Technologies will be
filled by Mr. Noam Shanny, who will be overseeing new product developments. Ms.
Lachish joined Ligature in 1990, which merged with Wizcom in 1997, and has
remained with the Company ever since. She has played a pivotal role in the
development of many of Wizcom's products. In her new role, she will be managing
sub-contractors, quality assurance and production methods.
Mr. Shanny, one of the co-founders of Ligature, and most recently co-founder and
CEO of Advanced Teleradiology Diagnostic Services, played an important role in
the earlier days of Wizcom, while holding the positions of VP R&D and VP
Software Development. He was one of the key people in the development of
Quicktionary One and Two and managed the successful release of dozens of
products per year. His engineering discipline is still stamped on Wizcom
products. Mr. Shanny has a background in physics, computer science and
artificial intelligence, and has great experience in developing OCR-based
products. Currently, Wizcom is working on the development of new products,
regarding which the Company expects to make more announcements in the near
future.
