ALLSCHWIL/BASEL, SWITZERLAND - 10 December 2010 - Actelion Ltd (SIX: ATLN)
announces the official opening of its new Business Center today in a ceremony
attended by Federal President Doris Leuthard and other representatives from
politics, business and science.
Dr. Jean-Paul Clozel, Chief Executive Officer of Actelion said: "After a three-
year construction phase, we are delighted to be able to hand over the building
to our employees. The architecture stands for innovation, openness and
communication and thus symbolizes core values of our company." Jean-Paul Clozel
added that "The new Business Center offers our employees an innovative,
inspiring work environment."
The five-floor steel building created by the architects' office of Herzog & de
Meuron offers space for 350 employees from central business functions that were
previously housed mostly in temporary buildings on the site of the Actelion
Center.
The Business Center is the heart of the growing Actelion Center in Allschwil
near Basel, where currently over 1000 people are employed. With the opening of
the building, the company is affirming its belief in Switzerland as a center for
its business.

The Business Center is the heart of the growing Actelion Center in the
Bachgraben area of Allschwil. The next step will see the completion and opening
of Actelion's second research and development building in 2011. Laboratories and
offices will be created there that offer space for a total of 380 employees.
