With IXI-UMS, SMB make use of unified messaging integrated in Windows Essential Business Server 2008(firmenpresse) - serVonic’s unified messaging solution IXI-UMS is ready for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and – besides Microsoft Windows Small Business Server (SBS) – now also supports Windows Essential Business Server (EBS) 2008. Both Microsoft’s products SBS and EBS are particularly designed for the operation at small and medium-sized companies and offer SMB the same server technologies as provided to large enterprises.
With IXI-UMS, serVonic provides a unified messaging- and fax server-solution that is scalable according to the customers’ needs and that can be integrated seamlessly in environments with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and in the Microsoft variants for SMB. serVonic’s solution is graded according to the number of users, channels and services. Karin Abrell, Manager Marketing and PR at serVonic: "Because of this clear and flexible price structure, also medium-sized businesses can make use of the unified messaging- or fax-features of IXI-UMS according to their needs and as complete and integrated server-software solution. With IXI-UMS, companies with up to about 75 users can add the feature fax and further UMS-features to the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server usefully; the same applies to companies with up to about 250 users and the Microsoft Windows Essential Business Server." A subsequent upgrade with further channels, users or services is also possible later on – without reinstallation, only by changing the license key. The IXI-UMS software is a Single Store-solution, this means a separate data management and separate data storage for the IXI-UMS user data and the UMS-messages are not necessary: Messages and routing information can be managed by the administrator in the Microsoft Exchange Server directly, user data and permissions in the Active Directory.
