Veidekke ASA: To build 142 homes at Løren in Oslo

Veidekke Entreprenør has signed a contract with Lørenvangen Utvikling AS
(jointly owned by OBOS Nye Hjem and Veidekke Eiendom) to build the first stage
of the Gartnerkvartalet residential development. The contract is for the
construction of two buildings with a total of 142 homes, a subterranean parking
garage and two retail premises. The total sales value of the homes is
approximately NOK 585 million.
Sales have been very good for Gartnerkvartalet, and the three first buildings
are currently almost sold out. The project is an extension of the neighbouring
project Gartnerløkka, and when completed, will comprise a total of 525 homes in
eight blocks of flats built in several stages. The total sales value of the
homes in the whole Gartnerkvartalet project is expected to be around NOK 2.5
billion.
The Gartnerkvartalet project comprises a wide range of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom
apartments. The apartments on the ground floor will have spacious terraces, and
some will even have a small garden. All other apartments will have their own
balconies. The eight blocks will surround a sunny courtyard almost 10,000 m2 in
size. This will be a large, green area that with bushes and trees in addition to
the gardens.
As an extension of the green image, live planted walls will cover the entrance
areas. As far as we know, this is the first new housing project with such a
planted wall, which creates both well-being and a better indoor environment.
Good sales at Gartnerkvartalet have accelerated the planning of Lørenvangen
Utvikling's next stage at the site at Løren. A framework application for
building four has been submitted, and it will in all likelihood be presented for
sale in January 2017.
The first occupants will move in to Gartnerkvartalet in the summer of 2018. For
