Pöyry awarded EUR 1.4 million assignment for implementation of the waste water treatment plant Tivat-Kotor in Montenegro

Pöyry's Water & Environment business group has been awarded a contract for
consulting services by VODACOM, d.o.o. within the German Government financed
framework of the "Water Supply and Sanitation Program Phase IV". The consulting
services focus on the implementation of a joint wastewater treatment plant for
the municipalities of Tivat and Kotor (about 90,000 p.e. at a first stage).
The services cover the preparation of the conceptual design, tendering and
construction supervision including final testing and commissioning of works as
well as supervision of operation and training of personnel during the Defects
Notification Period for the implementation of the WWTP.
Pöyry is awarded the contract following an international open tender process.
The total contract period for the Consultant's services will be forty eight
months. The value of the assignment is about EUR 1.4 million.
The programme aims at the improvement of the wastewater disposal in tourist
areas along the Adriatic Coast. The direct project objective is the construction
and smooth operation of the Waste Water Treatment Plant which will directly
reduce pollution in the Bay of Boka Kotorska of the Adriatic Sea.
