ALLSCHWIL/BASEL, SWITZERLAND - 17 March 2011 - Actelion Ltd (SIX: ATLN) reports
today that Elliott Advisors (UK) Ltd has filed requests to put several items on
the agenda for the shareholders' Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 05 May 2011 in
Basel, Switzerland.
Actelion's Board of Directors takes note of these requests and will provide
shareholders with the full list of agenda items and recommendations in due
course.
Actelion encourages shareholders to exercise their voting rights at the AGM. The
registration of shares is not mandatory under Swiss law. Shares are therefore
not automatically registered in the Actelion Share Register. In order to vote on
the proposals, the shares must be registered in the Share Register by 28 April
