Vancouver, BC - June 9, 2011: BonTerra Resources Inc. (TSX.V: BTR; FSE: 9BR)
(the "Company", "BonTerra") is currently awaiting assays for four (4) deep drill
holes on the Eastern Extension Gold Project (the "Property"). The deep holes
were drilled to extend the Peninsula Zone. The Peninsula Zone had assay
intercepts earlier in the year; drill hole highlights from BA05 returned 14.00
metres of 8.01 grams/tonne ("g/t") gold including 3.33 metres of 27.60 g/t gold.
Also, drill hole BA06 assayed 13.00 metres of 7.00 g/t gold including 4.00
metres of 17.02 g/t gold, as disclosed in a news release dated February
17, 2011.
The four (4) deep holes were drilled to maximize the tonnage by expanding the
mineralized envelope. It is the goal of the Company to define as many tonnes as
possible before running the resource calculation for the property. Core logs are
described as sighting mineralized smoky quartz-tourmaline veins in these holes.
This is the ultimate target environment for gold in the area.
Mitchell Adam, President, states, "We are encouraged with the success ratio on
our assays and feel the deeper holes will assist Geologica Inc. with a broader
scope and knowledge in establishing an inferred resource calculation this
summer."
The Company continues to employ a full quality assurance and quality control
(QAQC) system for every batch of samples submitted to the lab. The QAQC samples
include a standard, duplicate and blank. Geologica Inc. of Val d'Or, Québec is
responsible for overseeing the drill and sampling program on behalf of the
Company.
The Eastern Extension property is located approximately 170 km NE of Val-d'Or
and 125 km SW of Chibougamau in the Barry and Bailly townships in the Abitibi
Greenstone Belt, Québec. Neighboring companies in the region are Metanor,
Amseco, Beaufield, Eagle Hill, Glen Eagle, Urbana and Freewest, Murgor and
Noront. The Company has an option to earn 100% of the Eastern Extension property
subject to a 2% NSR.
